Computing and Information Systems
Our computing laboratories are the envy of many
universities in the UK, having expanded by more than 100 per cent over
the last four years and occupying purpose-designed facilities on the
ground and first floors of the main building at Luton campus, Park
Square in Luton town centre. Computers are replaced every three years
and provide up-to-date software environments for both undergraduate and
postgraduate students. Computing students follow a common programme in the first year that underpins the various specialisms such as artificial intelligence, games development, graphics, internet computing and robotics, and establishes core skills and knowledge. This gives you more time to decide what you would like to specialise in. Our Information Systems Development and Computer Networking courses are non-programming intensive and therefore ideal for students who have an interest in IT but do not want to focus on programming.
